The Dufferin receives special attention and care, spending six months of it’s year-long maturation in freshly emptied whiskey barrels. This patient evolution mellows acidity and infuses the cider with notes of vanilla, oak, and bourbon on the nose and palate. Lightly sparkling, this cider is refreshing while also slightly warming from it’s spiritous roots.
Named for the prestigious stagecoach that The Barnard’s Express commissioned for the 1976 Cariboo hunting trip by Lord and Lady Dufferin, this cider is one of our most premium. Released in small batches, it’s one to watch for and grab a bottle when available.
